Mornington Peninsula – more than ‘just’ beach holiday destination
We know how to do summer right in Australia – the whole city escapes to seaside coastal towns anywhere from Portsea to Point Lonsdale. Just an hour or so drive out of Melbourne is the Mornington Peninsula, offering a blend of cool coastal towns, lush bushlands for walking and cool climate wineries.
The rich red soil makes Mornington Peninsula fertile ground for abundant seasonal produce, endless vineyards and foodie options, from Montalto Vineyard and Olive Grove in Red Hill to the exquisite Rare Hare Food and Wine in Merricks.
Mornington Peninsula promises adventure for those big and small, like the giant tyre slides and mazes at The Enchanted Adventure Garden in Arthur’s Seat. Or hiking any number of beautiful bush trails.

FARMGATE
Support the locals and buy direct from the fabulous growers and makers of fresh local produce. There are a range of bespoke experiences, from ‘pick it yourself’ to simply visiting where all the magic happens and meeting the people behind the operations.
Not only do they sell their own fresh produce, but also an abundance of hand picked local produce from the whole of the Mornington Peninsula.
Once restrictions ease, their veggie patch is the perfect place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee, while the kids enjoy the 1970s Farmall tractor that looks over the space.

Green Olive at Red Hill offers a kid-friendly and dog-friendly whole farm experience! Enjoy their tasty range of olives, grapes, herbs and veggies on their 27 acre farm. They combine fresh produce with the finest drops from Mornington Peninsula wineries to create a delicious selection of tapas and wine.

Starting from the end of Point King Road, you will follow an incredible path along the Mornington Peninsula coast. This trail offers breathtaking cliff top views and will keep you busy for a good hour or so.

COPPINS TRACK
Enjoy a nature walk from Coppin’s Lookout to Pearce’s Beach – 14.5 kilometer. It’s the perfect trail for all skill levels and offers the chance to spot some incredible wildlife.

THE BAY TRAIL
Enjoy the beachside track starting at Safety Beach and heading to Portsea. Follow the path as it winds its way past the blue ocean waters and white sand beaches.
